New field, full driving course, shed and penning into a trailer. A chute MAY be included in the course. Approx 250 yard fetch.

Tea and coffee on the field. Other refreshments available from the farm yard. Free bacon roll to each competitor.

DIRECTIONS:

Shabden Park Farm, High Road, Chipstead, Surrey

Postcode is CR5 3SF for those with Sat nav.

(The trial will be signposted from the A217)

Via M25 - From Junction 8 at Reigate turn off the M25 and take the A217 towards Sutton. At the 2nd roundabout turn right for Mugswell & Chipstead.Continue straight on (along White Hill). For 25th July trial continue until you reach the junction. Turn left. The farm entrance is on the left hand side opposite the cricket/sports club. Trial on 8th August will be accessed on left hand side from White Hill.

Via M23 - on M23 continue across the M25 and turn left at the first traffic lights into Star Lane, which is the second turning on the left after the end of the dual carriageway. Take the left fork at the top of the hill and after approx 100yds go straight on at the crossroads at the war memorial (Hogscross Lane). For 25th July trial turn right at the next crossroads. The farm entrance is on the left hand side opposite the cricket/sports club. For 8th August trial go straight on at the next crossroads and trial will be signposted on right hand side of White Hill.

Saturday 25th July 2009

Open to the public from 9.30am

Bring your family and a rug or chairs, buy your food and drink from the well stocked farmer's market and farm shop to eat on the day or to take home. Then settle down to watch shepherds and their dogs compete within a set time limit, manoeuvring a group of sheep around a challenging course. A wide selection of delicious, quality, locally produced goods will be on sale at the farmers market, to eat on the day or to take home with you. You can learn about traditional country and woodland skills and also view the farm animals in their home surroundings. Come along, talk to the farmers and shepherds and at the end of the day discover who has won the top prize.

Opportunity to win a hamper of fresh, local produce from the farmers market.
